When uploading a file as an attachment, accented characters are striped off from the filename.
The same does
not happen when I upload a file via a simple CGI.pm form to the same server.
I need to preserv accented characters in attached file names.
I uploaded a file to this topic the correct file name of which should be: ékesíti.txt, not kesti.txt.
Please help.
TIA
Miklós

TWiki.org doesn't have the internationalisation features turned on (
InternationalisationEnhancements) - however, the 01 Sep 2004 release does support
I18N (with some patches), and accented characters in attached filenames and in topic names are supported.
The
I18N part of the installation guide may help. Once you've done this setup,
testenv should report that it's correctly set your locale to whatever you specify that works for Hungary. Be sure to use ISO-8859-2 in your locale for support of Hungarian characters.
Can you read the
SupportGuidelines and attach your TWiki.cfg file and HTML output? It's possible your setup is not quite right.
Also, be sure to see
TWikiSecurity for important security patches that may not be in the
TWikiAlphaRelease.
