Question

Vanilla Dakar install. In configure made no changes (except path settings) except for:

• LoginManager: None --> TemplateLogin
• NeedVerification: On --> Off

Now I see Login/Register box. I can log in fine, but, when I click Log Out, nothing happens. I'm still logged in.

How do I make Log Out work?

(This is actually for release 4.0.1 and PatternSkin. I've noticed elsewhere that NatSkin seems to do this properly where PatternSkin doesn't.)

What I didn't mention above was that I did an awful lot of mucking about with the configure settings and found, as some others have mentioned in other Support topics, that it wuzz'n always entirely clear which permutations did exactly what. The only way I could come up with to Logout of PatternSkin was to delete the cookie.

This seems to have bitten a couple of people. It's not clear exactly why, though an old installation of CGI or CGI::Session may be implicated. See Bugs:Item1820 for tracking.

The installs I've done are latest production Dakar and latest modules from CPAN. Okay, more testing...

This looks like it has been fixed on TWiki 4.0.2.
