TWiki Production Release 4.0.0

TWiki is open source software. The Perl CGI source code, default templates and documentation are available for free and can be redisributed under the terms of GPL (GNU General Public License). The identical .zip and .tgz packages can be used on all platforms; an installation guide is included in the package; supplemental documentation contain platform specific instructions.

TWiki is a flexible, powerful, and easy to use enterprise collaboration platform. It is a Structured Wiki which can be used to run a project development space, a document management system, a knowledge base, or any other groupware tool, on an intranet or on the internet.

Release 4.0 is the first major release in a year, adding simplicity in installation, integrated security features, and much more.

Do we need to keep this page including download links? I suggest to remove everything but the top warning.

No, it is better to leave it since it is a real release, and links point to it. People might want to go directly to the release notes, advocacy, known issues, etc. Also, the release download information table will be used in reporting.
