Questions:

Is it possible for a admin user to approve registration requests before giving the user access to the wiki?

Is it possible for users to edit pages but the edit wont be live until approval by a designated group?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x05
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Windows
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5
Client OS: Windows
Web Browser: Internet Explorer 6

Q2: It is not possible at the moment. The closest thing we have is probably the WorkflowPlugin. The same question was also raised in WorkflowPluginDev by SteveStark.

I may be confused or have caused confusion what I am looking for is functionality that means that if a user applies for registration they do not automatically obtain access to the wiki until a admin user has approved the account for access...... is this what the bulk registration is for?

No. bulk registration is to register a list of users. In regards to q2, I believe it to be a time for such an approval system because of the increasing amount of spam these days. Nevertheless, you can limit their access to the sandbox, and then move each user that you believe to be trusted to a users group.
