Question

Hi

Is there a way of associating multiple categories to a page?

I have pages about dogs, and also the various behavior of the dogs, so I am looking for:

  • Dogs
    • DogsScared
    • DogsSubmissive
    • DogsOn his/her back
    • DogsHiding

and I show a photo of that dog in the position, so the categories will be:

  1. Dogs
  2. DogsScared
  3. DogsSubmissive
  4. DogsOn his/her back

If I can't do that? what would be the best way to implement something that would be similar.

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

You can skin the dog in several ways:

1. Using CategoryCategory feature. See that topic for explanation

2. Using tagging. Use TagMePlugin for docs, and Plugins as an example.

2. Using TWikiForms. Create a form that has a form field with a picklist for the category, or checkboxes if you allow multiple selections. Use FormattedSearch to run reports.

TopicClassificationAddOn is a TWiki application for creating this kind of classification schema (with categories stored in TWikiForms).
