Question

I have the following line in /data/debug.txt quite frequently and do not know how to interpret it:

| 19 Jun 2007 - 02:05 | WebStatistics: Bad logfile line | 15 Jun 2007 - 10:01 | CedricWeber | | Main.SapArchive | Sap_Archivierung.xls |
 10.221.12.45 |

Any hints to solve that problem?

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

You can safely ignore those errors. You will get a slight error in the WebStatistics if this happens. It can happen if you have a highly active site and/or load balanced webserver setup with a common storage backend. Proper log file locking needs to be implemented to solve this.

I got a 500+ mg file full of this. How can it be turned off?

Same problem here.

Yes, coders can submit a patch to fix this.

You mean, there is no current solution to this but you would appreciate the community looking for one and submitting it so others can benefit.
