Question
Yesterday I went to add a comment to
HighResolutionLogos but in Edit the topic only loaded up to Randy Kramer's May 6th comment (perhaps 3/4 way through topic). Tried again this morning and same thing happened. I tried reloading topic in my browser but that didn't help. Has anyone else ever experienced this phenomena or have any idea what's up? Since other people have been able to add comments, I wondering if it's a problem with my browser...
- Web browser: IE 5.1.3
- Client OS: MacOS 10.1.4

Answer
That looks like a browser limitation.
HighResolutionLogos currently has 40K. Netscape 4.x has a limit of 32K for text area fields, IE on Windows does not have this limitation. Possibly IE on Mac has it?

Yep - I think you nailed it. I tried editing
HighResolutionLogos in Omniweb 4.0 and it had no problem loading it. Interesting
and frustrating. This represents a
significant limitation for working with TWiki in IE for Mac. I search quick a while both thru Google and on MS site and could find no actual documentation related to it - just a couple of rumors. But I'm pretty sure that's it and will continue to research to see what I can find.

Let us know if you find anything about IE on Mac restrictions - perhaps a later version would help? Should be added to
BrowserIssues.

I'm using the most recent version of IE available for Mac OS. I haven't run into any other problems such as
BackFromPreviewLosesText but will keep an eye out for any other "suspicious activities."
On the upside, adding sidebars in the Mac IE is a breeze, as I documented in
MacIESidebar. I did go ahead and add Mac IE 5.1 to
BrowserIssues. Thanks for the suggestion.
