RFC stands for "Request For Comments" and, on the Internet, refers to the set of Internet standards, numbered and prefixed with "RFC".

from 1855: "Make sure you have "Postmaster" aliased." is one of those wierd Unix-isms (I guess) that always makes me pause (or worse). How would I phrase the sentence? How about: "Make sure someone is aliased as "Postmaster""? Or, has the alias 'Postmaster'? Or, make sure Postmaster is (sym)linked to a real person? Or, just learn to understand the (myriad?) meanings of alias in the Unix world?
