Old stuff moved to the notes section -- I've noticed a new problem:
This is not a big issue for me, but in the interest of having all (potential) bugs recorded:
AFAICT, no statistics are recorded for the period between when the
WebStatistics are collected on the last day of the month and when they are collected for the first day of the next month.
For example, compare
Wikilearn.WebStatistics rev. 1.493 (1 Dec 2002) to rev. 1.492 (30 Nov) (and, for the previous month, rev. 1.463 to rev. 1.462). Note that the statistics for the previous month do not change between the revisions, and the statistics for the (new) current month are zero. I:
- am quite certain I viewed and updated pages in the 24 hour period between 30 Nov and 1 Dec
- don't recall any discussion of this problem on the Codev or Support webs, so have added a report there (referencing this page). Codev.StatisticsNotUpdatedForLastDayOfAMonth.
This is occurring on twiki.org.
The rest of this page discusses older problems.

Notes
There have been a few problems and/or discussions/suggestions re the
WebStatistics page, most of them have been fixed -- see:
There was one problem remaining in the Wikilearn web statistics in April, 2002 -- that is the problem of a page with a blank name appearing on the statistics. It appeared on the statistics in Jan (76 hits), Feb (127 hits), March (341 hits), and April (223 hits), 2002 -- I haven't confirmed that it still occurs in May.
In an effort to find the page that is causing the problem, near the beginning of May I visited the following pages several times just to confirm that they do show up in the statistics:
- 3Com3C509EthernetCards (does not show up as a link -- page has been renamed)
- AFS (shows up as a link)
- grep (does not show up as a link)
- Account (does not show up as a link)
Maybe the problem will not recur in May?
Update: Hmm, I should have updated this quite a while ago — this problem no longer occurs, but I'm not sure I recall the resolution. IIRC, it had something to do with with something like all pages that do not show up as links being grouped together and shown as one blank entry with the total number of hits on all of those pages combined. (Not really important at this point as it has been fixed.) PS: Also, IIRC, RichardDonkins fixed the problem.
