I sometimes get frustrated having to hit "edit" on a page to change an entry in the form. For example, to correct the status of a report in the Support web.

It would be neat if the forms system allowed you to change selected fields from the "view" script, without requiring an edit.

i concur. especially for workflow based systems. John and I had some discussions about this a few years ago

I'd also like to see the possiblility for users to be able to script changes to formfields from other topics using TML.

I like the idea to have more than one edit link on a page. Why not have a separate edit link for the webform or even for every heading/comment/...
