Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website that allows people to communicate with their friends and exchange information. People use Facebook to keep up with friends and business associates, share links, events, photos and videos. Facebook has over 50 million users.

Facebook added a proprietary API (not OpenSocial) which provides a framework for developers to create applications that interact with core Facebook features. Sample applications include SumbleUpon and Twitter (both to show their content on a Facebook homepage), Where I've been (world map), Graffiti (visual Wall), Movies (compare movie taste).

Discussion

I am on Facebook for about 4 weeks now. I find it quite interesting to keep in touch with friends and business associates. Kinda like a nicely organized and customizable LinkedIn .

Now that Facebook has an API, any idea/interest into hooking up TWiki and Facebook? What form? From a TWikiAdvocacy / TWikiMarketing perspective we could get a lot of exposure through Facebook.

We should have a TWiki-Fan-Page in Facebook too!
