Implementation Status

Formerly ImplementationDate. This is pretty basic, relies on being kept up-to-date by everyone, and then used in relation to the current date and available version. If a feature is replaced/removed, it should be deselected.

ALERT! Didn't delete or rename topic for now to prevent change-stamping EVERY TOPIC JUST ABOUT IN CODEV...though that would've been...interesting. Maybe real early one Sunday morning...

It seems to make sense to use TWikiHistory as the definitive changelog. This category is for on-going development, may nature, temporary, changing.

What is the advantage of listing a feature as Alpha/Beta/Production over the previous Alpha/Beta/Named Release?

I'm not sure if there's a huge difference either way. In part responding to comments in CodevFields and related, and to my own impression, if it doesn't go all the way and name the Beta versions, too, why not simplify. If the purpose of this as a Codev category is to help determine the status of a feature, a lot more features have been introduced, and at times replaced production features, in Betas versions. With Bugs, this is even more troublesome. Not the presence of Production versions, but the absence of Beta versions. And fully installing the latest Beta would seem to be the way to keep up with TWiki on any sort of dev level. So it's a simplification, referring to the most recent situation: ongoing Alpha code, in Beta, or in a Production release. Things that have been changed or replaced between Production releases aren't represented in the previous mode either. So, a little less detail, but less confusion as well? TWikiHistory seems to be place to be definitive. But it's just a test - the old categories are still there.

I removed the ImplementationDate field. It is obsolete as stated elsewhere. The BugReports have a table with the release version the bug applies to.
