Ruby is a simple, pure object-oriented, dynamic, interpreted, portable, thread capable, extensible, open source, high level scripting language which supports regexps, automatic garbage collection, exceptions, iterators, operator overloading etc. among other things.

It is being created by Yukihiro Matsumoto (a.k.a matz mailto:matz@netlabPLEASENOSPAM.co.jp) from japan. Japan already has more people using Ruby than PythonProgrammingLanguage? .

Ruby has a few implementations of Wiki too
