Bug: View raw not on the action bar but is referred to in oopslocked

(from DevOpinionPoll)

  • Is it just me, or has raw been deleted from the action bar in view.tmpl in the latest release? -- HansDonner - 26 Sep 2001
  • It and other options are to be found when select more. Or you can just add raw=on to the view url (raw=debug) if you want to see the meta information. -- JohnTalintyre - 27 Sep 2001
  • I think the view raw should be on the main bar, because it will allow somebody do some handy cut & paste...
Also note the topic is locked msg: "To look at the text without editing the topic click on the View raw text link." -- HansDonner - 28 Sep 2001

Either the raw should come back or the oopslocked template should be modified...

I've changed this to FeatureNotSuitable, please correct if I've misunderstood. My reasoning:

  • The link was removed from the normal view screen to avoid clutter, it should only go back if viewing raw text is something people do frequently.
  • The oopslocked template has a View raw text link to click, the without editing refers to not click Edit anyway.

Regarding the move: I can understand putting it away, although I notice that I use it myself a lot on my own Twiki (so I've added it to my own view.tmpl...)

I find the text in oopslocked a bit confusing, since it suggests you should have clicked View raw in the first place... (Now that you mentioned it, I saw the link below the template to the view raw action).
