Who am I?
I've been working as research assistant (for two years) and, following that, as consultant/programmer in the financial services sector (for over three years as of now). Currently, I'm working full time on my dissertation which I plan to finish in the course of this year.
What do I want?
write access to
SVN for the following branches:
core and plugins
What can I do?
While primarily considering myself a Java programmer, I've been using Perl regularly for nearly four years, too, so I can read/write/test code for TWiki.
(Also, I learned where to look up things and when to ask once I'm stuck.)
Why do I want to do it?
Simply because I'm benefiting from TWiki every day for approximately four years now and want to give something back.

During that time, I made some local modifications to a small number of plugins which I'd like to commit in order to get feedback from other users/developers and maybe help driving the development of certain plugins--especially those dealing with PDF output and workflow control. And like others, I've been repeatedly told by other developers to put fixes and changes into the
SVN repository myself in the past.
(Apart from that, the dissertation thesis I'm currently working on broaches the issue of supporting development processes (w.r.t. workflow/information flow management) using Topic Maps and Eclipse. Once it's finished, I'd love to try to connect the accompanying prototype to a TM driven TWiki backend in the (very) long run, which cannot be accomplished without knowledge about TWiki internals

)
Other Notes:
Though my time is quite limited at the moment, I haven't forgotten about the pending documentation tasks I've already committed myself to (starting with
Bugs:Item5485
). Since my own documentation skills can only benefit from this and I need to look at the TWiki internals anyways (see above), I'm more than willing to regularly work on this area, too.
Oh, and in case this self-portrayal seems a bit too short, feel free to grill me, I'm not easily offended...

Questions and Comments:
Markus, you are a regular participant in the release meetings, thank you for supporting the
TWikiCommunity! I fully support your request. If you intend to fix core bugs you should get access to to the core repository as well.

I also support Markus' application. Markus from the text it is clear you also want to address core bugs such as Item5485.
We all know Markus from release meetings so there is no reason to wait giving access. I will add it right away
