  • Desired outcome: What can be done to make timely patch releases; target date for 4.2.2 release

  • We need more marketing happening around the release.
    • KennethLavrsen will create a blog entry in his role as "release manager"
    • MartinSeibert will create a weblog for the managers and marketing people in English and German
    • MartinSeibert will inform important German media about the current release and ask for coverage
    • MartinSeibert will create a wiki-document, that offers a list of sources to inform about new versions of TWiki
    • OliverKrueger will use his contacts at heise online for coverage.
    • KennethLavrsen Lavr will add an info, that states an improvement of 10% for the new TWiki-release (will confirm numbers first)
    • People are encouraged to blog everywhere.

  • 4.2.2
    • MarkusUeberall will file a severe bug he has already found in the new release and try to add a fix as soon as possible.
    • CrawfordCurrie should reapply his IF refactoring asap so it gets tested for 4.2.2
    • Kenneth predicts this to be a 10-20 bug items release - very small - released in mid September. It will not take UTF8 into its scope meaning that the I18N Normal bugs will be adressed in 5.0.

2. Feature requests for Georgetown Release

  • ProcessAddToHeadAdds - Sven and Crawford - we wait for you to agree or disagree on the proposal topic.
  • MakingVarVARTopicCapable - Martin needs to tell us why he raised concern against his own proposal. He must bring it forward to a meeting himself. We do not know what to discuss. Kenneth parks it.

It is the results, that count. You have contributed to the new release. That's plenty in my opinion. smile
