When running Cairo release under SpeedyCGI, the spreadsheet plugin has a problem with a global variable that is not re-initialised for each run (found and fixed by PeterThoeny; DevelopBranch r3858)

This raises the spectre that other plugins may be suffering the same disease. I have checked all the plugins checked into the TWikiKernel, but those in the Plugins web may still be suffering

The SpreadSheetPlugin bug Crawford mentioned was a problem of a local variable that was not declared, thus unintentionally got global scope.

BTW, the latest SpreadSheetPlugin version is 24 Oct 2004 (1.016), the one in DEVELOP is old at 1.014.

Why is this declared as a Core BugReport? Should Plugins that are in DEVELOP get bug tracked here?

Because SpreadSheetPlugin? is packaged as part of the release. The bug is against the TWikiKernel, not the core. It's less confusing to track everything here, since they all impact DakarRelease.

The version in DEVELOP is based on the version released with Cairo. I had intended to update from CVS, but hadn't had time. Done now, thanks for pointing it out.
