Workflow Map

What I have in mind here is a variation of some other features being discussed but I haven't seen it presented as such so I thought I would float it for discussion. Basically, I envision a cross between WebMap and TWikiDrawPlugin that would allow one to graphically present a network of topics. One obvious application of this would be to graphically present a work flow with each step being its own topic. The new functionality I'm looking for is allowing the user to click directly on the graphic and jump to that topic.

I suspect that there would be lots of other useful applications of this feature (such as mind-mapping of topic groups) and it would be a nice complement to the automatically generated webs a la WebMap.

This is in essence what WebDOTPlugin could be used for. If you have the time and the desire, writing a WebDOTPlugin is the place to start. With that core component you could layer capabilities on top of it (even WebMap could be written to utilize this lower level reusable component.)

John - Thanks for the pointer to WebDOTPlugin. You're right - that's exactly the functionality I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I don't have the coding experience to make much of a contribution yet. However, I will definitely be tracking that topic to see where I might be able to plug in.
