Feature Proposal: full list of version with authors on diffpage

Motivation

when requesting rdiff between distant versions but in compact form (type=diff) you loose all traces of history

Description

at the moment a rdiff templates provides TWO Revision entries. this could be a repeated item, for all revisions within the first and the last.

-- MarioFrasca - 03 Mar 2005

Impact and Available Solutions

Note: Patch is attached as DiffingWithVersionAttribution-1.diff. The patch is against the TWikiAlphaRelease revision 3728 (with ugly patch on DefaultPlugin.pm) 03 Mar 2005.

Documentation

the rdiff templates gets split into 4 (not 3) parts. the third part may contain a %TAIL% indicator that will be replaced with the repeated expansion of the fourth parth.

Examples

if my computer is switched on, you may have a look here: sample diff 13-10. be patient as it is a poor old little thing...

Implementation

Any comments on how the feature is implemented or could be improved

Discussion:

It wasn't clear to me why you put the branch number back on the revision ID in rediff.pattern.tmpl, so I didn't accept that part of the patch. The fix to DefaultPlugin was wrong, but I corrected it and put in the right fix, thanks! r3814

Hi Crawford! well, the part about the 1., my mistake, good that you spotted it. I expected the fix to the DefaultPlugin to be incomplete, all I wanted to do was getting my twiki-dev back to work! thanks for putting the patches in SVN: my diff looks a lot smaller now. how about the SearchByDate patch?
