Discussions
We had some feedback that the rename restrictions are too high. The
CoreTeam is listening. After some discussions with the CoreTeam I opened up renaming/deleting content on TWiki.org from the
TWikiAdminGroup to the
TWikiCommunityGroup. I added people who are / have been active in the Codev or Plugins web over the last 12 month.
Please play responsibly and enjoy

I'm happy to see this! There are certainly times when I feel cramped by having to wait for someone else to rename a page, not to mention adding a housekeeping chore to core team members who are supposed to be busy developing cool new features and fixing bugs.
TWikiCommunityGroup says: "How to get automatically off the list: * Failure to change the password once every 6 months..." -- I don't and won't change my twiki.org password at all, let alone every 6 months.
more on this in PasswordSecurityDiscussions.

Peter, I appreciate the trust. However, I am afraid I will loose these rights soon, as the requirement of changing the password every six months to maintain community status is quite onerous....

I applaud this as a tangible means to empower the community.
Given that everything is revocable, I think such a password condition is overkill. Indeed, I would favour a more relaxed approach than now - such as by having persistent logins that last weeks. I am with Thomas in that I suspect my rights on this site will diminish as soon as your detection mechanism notices my password expire.

Since it is the wish of the community, I changed the policy on changing passwords from a demand to a friendly reminder.
