Who am I?
I am SopanShewale, I am Masters in Mathematics, having 8-9 years of experience in Information Technology. I am working as Technical Lead with Persistent Systems Ltd (http://www.persistentsys.com
), based in Pune/India.
I was managing the Knowledge Management infrastructure based on the Open Source Tools like TWiki, Sympa, Drupal etc. for last couple of years.
TWiki Specific:
- I have been using TWiki-as a platform for Knowledge Management Systems since 3-4 years.
- I have contributed to TWiki Community by participating in development of
- SearchEnginePluceneAddOn (contributed with JohnMVigo -personally we don't know each other)
- FileListPlugin ( was redeveloped for dakar release)
- ApplicationAuthenticationAddOn (This is obsolete now)
What do I want?
write access to SVN for the following branches:- MainBranch
- twikiplugins
What can I do?
- I would like to participate in fixing the current Bugs.
- I would like to participate in discussions on adding/removing features of TWiki-help to add features by participating in coding process.
- I understand the Web2.0-want to use by knowledge to improve TWiki.
- I understand the Test::Unit test framework. I appreciate the contribution made by CrawfordCurrie at TestCasesTutorial - I can write the test cases to of the Plugins.
- Yes, I have been using Perl for coding applications since 4-5 years.
Why do I want to do it?
I have been using TWiki since last 4-5 years as end user. I have implemented it for the use in the projects of large number of users. I have implemented that in Enterprise environment with large user base-users included techie/no-techie. TWiki is very cool tool - but still many users complain about it. Many users(including me) face the problem-I would like to help TWiki to improve itself. Would like to see this Wiki as one of the best Wiki in collaboration domain. I simply Love TWiki - so want to contribute twiki by becoming core developer-want to become more responsible developer.Other Notes:
ohh.. yes, i have some thing more to share:- I have also made the contribution to Blojsom community by writting Plugin(file attachment) and upgrading a few themes to latest version.
- I have shared couple of presentations at http://www.slideshare.net/sopan_shewale . One of the presentation demonstrates the TWiki Plugin Development. The presentation was created for training Jr. developers to learn the basic Perl.
